"Notes
of Peace"
represents all the initiatives promoted since
2003 by the Popular School of Music Donna Olimpia with the cooperation
of
the Comune di Roma – “Rome
for the Peace to Jerusalem” and by numerous other Institutions.
Concerts, seminars, meeting, publications and recordings:
"Notes of Peace" proposes itself to promote meeting and exchanges
amongst Israeli, Italian and Palestinian boys and musicians and to contribute
to the structuring of the musical education in Palestine. This is a way
dialogue can develop through a “language” that more than
any other is universal: music!
 They ask me who I am?
I’m a Palestinian Child….
As long as the sun heats me…
and the good earth feeds me…
As long as the source water quench my thirst…
and the trees make me shade…
As long as I continue to hear the birds
twitting above the houses….
As long as I see the moon and the roses…
I continue to live and be happy…
In the sky there are always the stars....
Even when it is cloudy...
The night will pass ... and the darkness will disappear ...
My heart suffers ...
but it is full of hope...
